About American Self Storage
American Self Storage sits in Santa Maria and handles more than household goods. Reviewers mention large covered storage areas and wide paved roadways inside, which makes moving a rig around less of a squeeze. There is a wash rack and a dump station on site, so you can rinse the coach and empty the tanks before you park it. The place is lit and gated with 24x7 access for customers, according to one review. Several people call out the local manager, Paula, by name and say she is helpful and easy to work with. Cleanliness comes up often too, and the office sends email notices for payments. Price is the sticking point. A current customer said it is not cheap, and another long-term renter left after a rate increase with no explanation given. If cost is your main filter, ask about rates before you commit.
