About Ample Storage Center
Ample Storage Center sits in Powells Point and serves the Outer Banks crowd, including Kitty Hawk and Duck. It offers both indoor and outdoor storage for RVs and boats, plus climate controlled and conventional units. There's a gated lot with cameras on site. The place runs off-season High & Dry rates, so ask about those if you're parking for the winter. Reviewers keep coming back to cleanliness. One person called the grounds cleaner than they'd ever expect, and another described the interiors as bright and clean. Several mention the staff being friendly and quick to call back, and one long-term customer has rented there nearly seven years through several managers. Worth flagging: a reviewer wrote in 2020 that RV, camper and boat owners were pushed out to make room for new units. That conflicts with the current indoor and outdoor RV listings, so confirm the lot is taking rigs before you haul over. The office has set hours rather than 24/7 access.
