About Big Toy Depot
Big Toy Depot stores RVs, boats, and trailers in San Diego, mixing covered, indoor, and outdoor spots. It opened in 2005 after the owner spent more than 35 years managing self-storage and got tired of waitlists and sun damage. The indoor option is what reviewers keep coming back to. Long-term storage includes exterior washes, battery charging, monthly engine and generator starts, and overnight electrical hookups. A simple call and your boat gets pulled out for pickup and cleaned before it goes back inside. Reviewers describe manager Mike and Mitch as friendly and quick to answer questions, and more than one mentions help parking a big rig. The site has water, a dump station, and propane. There is room to drive around outside. Pricing runs on the higher side, and one boater found the indoor door and moving equipment maxed out for a 33-foot boat.
