About Caney Fork River Rentals
Caney Fork River Rentals is a family-run outfit on the Caney Fork River in Silver Point, right below Center Hill Dam. Four generations of the same family have been outfitting paddlers and anglers here since 1981. Along with canoe and kayak rentals, shuttles, cabins, and a campground, they offer RV storage. It sits about an hour east of Nashville and 25 minutes from Cookeville. Reviewers call it a family run shop and mention quick check-in and easy drop-off and pickup on the river. One notes the staff called to move their time up around dam generation so they'd get more river time. Others mention clean bathrooms, a bait and tackle store, and a market with BBQ next door. The cold, clear tailwater stays cool all summer, which suits trout fishing and easy floats. The shop has a 4.5 rating across 117 Google reviews. Walk-ins are welcome, or book online to hold your spot.
