Extra Space Storage, 73-5562 Lawehana St

About Extra Space Storage

Extra Space Storage runs a self-storage and vehicle storage lot on Lawehana St in Kailua-Kona, near the Kanalani St corner. Units come in small, medium and large sizes, with drive-up access and room for vehicles and boats. The site is clean, and reviewers repeatedly call out the staff as friendly and helpful, both in the office and on the phone. One customer noted the office worked with them to check whether a truck would fit. Not every review is glowing. The facility sits at a 3.9 rating across 9 Google reviews, and a few complaints stick out. One renter said the monthly rate climbed sharply within months, and another said administrative fees, a required insurance charge and a padlock purchase made the first bill much higher than expected. Ask about the full cost before you sign. Online reservation and phone rentals come up as easy in reviews, and there is a discount for booking online. The office has set hours rather than 24/7 access, so plan your drop-off around that.
