About General Self Storage
General Self Storage sits on W 23rd Street near the Fremont Mall, right off N Broadway and a few miles from Midland University. The lot handles more than boxes. Reviewers have kept a camper here for over five years, and large vehicle storage covers boats and RVs alongside the drive-up and climate-controlled units. Cleanliness comes up again and again in the reviews, along with safety. One person noted no outside weather or rodent problems, carts to move things, and lighting bright enough to see any time of day. Another said the place is kept nice and secure and they would not go anywhere else. Access runs 24/7, and one renter mentioned the code they picked worked right away after the first payment. Communication is the split. One reviewer praised the staff for calling when a unit opened up and walking them through the setup. Another had trouble reaching anyone about a lock and a wrong access code sequence. Climate control matters to the college families who store things from out of state between semesters.

“This was a local company who sold out to an outside owner. At first it was very hard to work with the person who I reached with a payment situation. After I was given a different number they were quick to solve the problem.” – Susan, 4 months ago, on Google
“Amazing customer service when I called to get my daughter a storage unit. This will be the 4th year we have used this location.” – Sarah S., 6 months ago, on Google
“They have been a pleasure to do business with. Karen told me she would call me if a unit was available and she kept her word. She also helped me with everything I needed to get the unit. Thank you! Highly recommend” – EPIC Z., 5 months ago, on Google
