About Lake Michigan Self Storage
Lake Michigan Self Storage sits in Allendale, less than five miles from GVSU's campus. The lot handles campers and trailers in extra-large ground-level spaces, all with drive-up access so you can load and unload without stairs. There's also a pull-through spot, though one reviewer said they were charged extra to use it. Reviews are mixed. Some renters call the staff nice and the rates reasonable, and one mentioned a new camera system going in. Others describe a rough stretch after new ownership took over, with rates going up and communication getting thin. A couple of people said the lot holds water and gets soft when it's wet, to the point where a camper needed four-wheel drive to get out. The facility runs on 24/7 online rental signup and recorded video surveillance. There's no on-site office, and reviewers say phone response can be slow. If you're storing a rig here, check the ground conditions after rain and keep your payment current.
