About Topside Services
Topside Services is a welding and sandblasting shop in Seward that also offers covered storage for RVs and boats. The owner, Hill, has a following among travelers who break something on the road. Reviewers describe him answering the phone on a Sunday and fitting their rigs in first thing Monday. One camper broke a spring mount leaving the campground and got it fixed the next day. Another broke a leaf spring hanger on a fifth wheel and met Hill at the shop at 6:30 am, back on the road by 8. A third says he came in on a Sunday so they could get back to Anchorage. The reviews are few but all five stars, and the theme is the same each time: he works you in and charges a fair price. If you need covered storage or a repair in Seward, this is the kind of place people pass along by word of mouth.
