About U-Store-It
U-Store-It is a self-storage facility in Lewistown, Illinois, with drive-up access and ground-floor units. The site is lit and has room between buildings for trucks, which reviewers bringing larger loads have noted. Tenants can get in seven days a week, pay bills online, and stay on month-to-month contracts. Reviews often come back to security. One reviewer said the place is patrolled often and felt good about their belongings. Another has kept a unit 18 years with no break-ins. A few mention rodents, and one calls that expected for the area. Not everyone is happy. Some reviewers saw prices go up and were annoyed about insurance fees added to their accounts. Another was hit with late fees and had both units double-locked when only one was paid. Others say staff communicate well and units stayed dry. Worth reading the contract closely before you sign.
