About WillowTree RV Resort
WillowTree RV Resort sits about 12 miles inland from the beach in Longs, near Cherry Grove, Sunset Beach and Calabash. It works as a base for the Grand Strand without putting you in the middle of it. Sites here are paved and run large, with concrete patios, lawns, fire rings, charcoal grills and picnic tables. Guests keep mentioning the size and the shade, and one motorhome owner called the property better kept than anywhere they had stayed in years. There is a lake with walking trails around it, an outdoor pool and hot tub, a game room, pickleball and a dog beach with a self-serve bathing station. Reviewers describe the bathhouses as clean and the staff as friendly, including one family who got towels and ice packs after a scrape in the water. It is a campground as much as a storage spot, and people fish, swim and paddle from the lake. No hours are posted, so call ahead.
