About MCAS RV Storage Office
This is a military storage lot, so you need to be active duty or retired to rent a space. Rates have stayed low compared to commercial lots around San Diego, and the first fee increase in about five years still leaves it cheaper than most. Setup happens at the Auto Hobby Shop area, not the lot itself. Security gets consistent praise. There is passcode gate entry and sensors watching the open area, and one reviewer noted the gate motor has never failed despite steady traffic. You will see cars, tent trailers, and large trailers packed in, and the spaces stay organized. Staff are called helpful by several reviewers, though not everyone is happy. One owner reported damage to a door shortly after storing a rig, and a trailer owner was turned away over what could be stored. The lot includes a dump station that charges for use.

“Excellent security. We don't have a trailer parked here, as we're not military, but we came here twice. Once to look at a trailer, and the second time to purchase it and take delivery of said trailer.” – Robert R., 6 years ago, on Google
“Have had a spot here since it opened. So thankful since San Diego has such strict RV parking rules and stupid-expensive storage rates in the local area.” – Steve M., 9 years ago, on Google
“Great prices for trailer and RV storage! You have to go to the Auto Hobby Shop area in order to set up rental of a storage lot. Once that's done, you're good to go!” – Dave H., 8 years ago, on Google
