About Robbers's Roost Ranch
Robbers's Roost Ranch sits on HWY 14 in Inyokern, a spot that catches your eye with its old buildings and a sign for a free ghost town. It's part mini-mart, part historical site, and reviewers often mention stopping to stretch and check out the jail and other structures covered in graffiti. The history goes back to the 1870s when outlaws used the rock formation as a hideout, and you can learn more inside the shop. The store stocks snacks, drinks, and engine oil, and reviewers praise the friendly staff. Some talk about frog balls and biscuits and gravy, and there's a restaurant in the works. Clean restrooms and cold beer come up too. It's a handy pit stop for OHV riders heading out or anyone driving to Death Valley or Mammoth.
