What is actually available
Of the 7 listings in Craig, just 1 is covered and 2 are indoor. The rest are outdoor pads and lots, which is normal for this part of Colorado. If you want your trailer under a roof through winter, get on a waitlist or check back often, because that inventory turns over slowly. Outdoor spots still work fine if you keep the rig washed and waxed and cover the tires. Three of the facilities offer 24 hour access, so you are not locked into business hours if you head out early. The nearby spots add a little more choice when Craig is full.
The lots worth calling first
Northwest Storage has the most reviews at 36 and a 4.8 rating, and it covers the bases with covered, indoor and outdoor space plus boat storage. Durose Storage (4.7 from 20 reviews) and Tru Craig Storage (4.7 from 24) are the other well reviewed names, and Tru Craig is indoor only with 24 hour access. County Road 29 RV & Boat Storage rates 5.0 from 5 reviews and is gated with cameras and 24 hour access, which matters if you keep tools or toys inside. Sunflower Storage & Rentals has 24 hour access too.
Practical notes for storing here
High plains weather is hard on RVs. UV fades decals and cracks tires, and hail does not care how careful you are, so covered space earns its keep if you can find it. For outdoor parking, face the rig so the worst sun hits the least vulnerable side and use tire covers. Pull the batteries or put a maintainer on them over winter, and winterize the water system before the first hard freeze. Check gate hours and whether the lot is fenced before you commit. Confirm your insurance covers the rig while it sits off your property.
