About Self-Storage at U-Haul
The U-Haul on the south side of Des Moines runs a self-storage lot with indoor and outdoor options for RVs and boats. You get 24/7 access and cameras watching the property, plus a wash station on site. Climate control is available if you want to keep your rig out of the Iowa weather. Reviewers keep coming back to the staff. One repeat customer said they've never had issues, and another mentioned the team was understanding when they needed a bigger unit and more truck time. Friendly service shows up in a few reviews, which is worth noting if you've dealt with storage places that feel like a ghost town. The place also rents trucks and sells moving supplies, so you can handle a move or a storage switch in one stop. Month-to-month rentals and online payments make it easy to manage your account. It's near South Park and Easter Lake, just off the route by Southridge Mall.
