About Thousand Trails Wilderness Lakes

Thousand Trails Wilderness Lakes is a big campground in Menifee with more than 500 sites. Reviewers say it never feels overcrowded, even on busy weekends. Sites are full-hookup and have room for a trailer, truck, and outdoor setup. Some lots come with a picnic table. The canals and the ducks and geese get a lot of mentions. So do the pools and the jacuzzi. There is also mini golf, pickleball courts, and fishing. The restrooms are clean, and one reviewer praised the shower setup with a bench and curtain. The gym and hot tub do not open until 9 AM, which one early riser did not like. Staff are mostly friendly, though one reviewer called a staff member grumpy. Another said Jean was a huge help fixing a reservation mix-up. The campground is gated, and housing developments are going up around it. Inside, you mostly do not notice.
