About 1st Mate Marine Service, Inc.
1st Mate Marine Service sits in Cumming and does double duty as a boat repair shop and a storage lot. Covered and outdoor spots are both mentioned, and one reviewer calls it a great place to store your toys. Another notes it is not as expensive as other places around the lake, though no rates are listed here. Bobby is the name that comes up again and again in reviews. People say he is always ready to help and has worked on their pontoon boats for years, from Yamaha outboard service to patching a leaking pontoon. Helpful staff gets mentioned often, along with patience answering questions. One longtime customer says there can be a wait for service and plans for it. Not every review is warm. One owner says a cover was left without poles and tore in the rain. Another says a bad battery was never replaced after a promised callback. Worth reading the full reviews before you commit.
