About American Self Storage
American Self Storage on Old Lystra Road keeps things simple: month-to-month rentals and 24/7 entry so you can get to your rig on your own schedule. The place sits near U.S. 501 and UNC Hospitals, which makes it easy to swing by on your way through Chapel Hill. Reviewers keep coming back to the staff. James gets named for going above and beyond, and Taeshia and Taylor are called out for being responsive by phone or text. One long-time renter says the new owners have been even better than the previous ones. Others mention helpful staff, clean grounds, and no signs of vermin. Drive-up access is a must for some, and they were willing to pass closer spots to get it. The units are basic and generally well maintained. Rates get called great more than once. If you need a real person to talk to about pricing or availability, the phone seems to be the way to go.
