About Extra Space Storage
Extra Space Storage sits on Miramar Rd near I-805, a stretch that serves Sorrento Valley, Miramar, Mira Mesa and Scripps Ranch. It's a self-storage facility that also lists vehicle, boat and RV storage, and covered storage is one of the options. Cameras are part of the setup, and reviewers mention regular security walks. Full-time RVers have used this location and rated the security and service highly, saying they prioritize both after a bad experience elsewhere. Other reviewers write about a quick move-in, easy rentals, and a manager named Juana who gets credit for clear pricing and helping people shift between unit sizes. Rates come up in reviews more than anything else, usually in a good light, and a military discount gets mentioned too. The place is clean and gated, with drive-up access so you can pull in and unload without checking in at the desk. One reviewer reported water damage to stored belongings after a few months away. Worth reading the reviews yourself before you commit. Hours aren't 24/7, so check when the gate opens and closes.
