About Own Your Own Storage
A family-owned self-storage spot in Urbana, running since the 1980s. They rent everything from small 4'x5' units up to 64'x64' warehouses, so there's room for household stuff, business inventory, or a rig that needs a spot. Reviewers keep coming back to the staff. People call them friendly, cooperative, and quick to help, and one customer said a question was handled in under a week. Cleanliness comes up too, along with fair prices. A few mention the office dogs greeting visitors. The place holds a 4.4 rating across 49 Google reviews. One reviewer noted the units are not temperature-controlled, so keep that in mind if your gear is sensitive to Illinois seasons. Others have stored here for two or three years without trouble. Hours are posted, and it's not a 24/7 operation, so plan your pull-in around that.
