Port Sonoma sits off Highway 37 on the northern edge of San Pablo Bay, a dry storage yard for boats and RVs with covered, indoor and outdoor spots. It's right across from the Black Point Boat launch, which owners say makes getting onto the Petaluma River easy for jet skiing, sturgeon fishing and family floats. Reviewers tend to bring up the rates. Several call the pricing excellent or very reasonable, and one notes it's competitive for the bay and near Marin. The staff get good marks too, with one boater saying Rhyden is quick and helpful. The operation has been around more than 20 years, and the yard says it has upgraded security and access. One honest note from a reviewer: the indoor space was described as rough, dirty, with cats and a raccoon break-in. That same person stayed because it cost less than nicer facilities. Others have asked for a restroom. If you want the cheapest covered spot near the river, it's worth a look.
