Public Storage, 854 Widgeon Rd

About Public Storage

Public Storage on the Norfolk side runs a gated lot with 24/7 access and a keypad or phone code at the gate. Reviewers mention the lot is well lit, which helps if you're dropping the rig after dark. The site offers covered and indoor storage, and the office also handles boat storage. Staff get a lot of praise in the reviews. People call out Gladys and Terry by name for being polite and helpful, and a few long-term renters say they've stayed for years because of that treatment. Several reviewers also note the units were clean when they moved in. The less flattering reviews are worth knowing about. A handful of renters report rat and mouse problems in some units, and more than one mentions rent increases that came around often. The facility offers climate-controlled indoor units if you want your rig out of the weather, and online rental is available if you'd rather skip the counter. Drive-up access makes it easy to pull in and load up without a long walk.
