About Self-Storage at U-Haul

This is the U-Haul spot on the south shore, near Emerald Bay Road and Highway 89. It handles indoor and outdoor storage, so boats and vehicles are in the mix along with regular household units. Climate control is available if you want your gear protected from Tahoe winters. The setup includes 24/7 access, cameras, and drive-up outdoor units. There's a wash on site, which matters if your rig sits outside. Rentals run month to month, and you can reserve and pay online, including contact-free move-in. Packing supplies, dollies, and carts are on hand for the haul. One reviewer gave it five stars and had a single gripe: parking. They said most of the lot gets filled by U-Haul vans and trucks, leaving little room to pull in when loading or unloading. Worth knowing before you show up with a trailer. Only one review so far, so you're mostly going on the published details.

“The only complaint I have is lack of parking for those of us picking up or dropping off items from our storage units. About 95% of parking is taken up by Uhaul vans/trucks.” – Barb E., 2 years ago, on Google
