About SmartStop Self Storage
SmartStop on Pell Circle in Sacramento stores more than household goods. People park RVs and trailers here too, and the gate stays open around the clock for the RV side. One reviewer found that out the hard way: the 7 pm closing on the website applies to regular units, not RV storage. Staff get a lot of the credit in the reviews. Filipp walked a new renter through the whole process, and when the afternoon heat was brutal he kept handing out water while a 20-foot U-Haul got unloaded. Darlene answered security questions before a move-in and stayed patient through the paperwork. Several reviewers call the place affordable, and the units come up clean. Not every review is warm. One trailer owner reported a break-in along with other trailers and questioned whether security is adequate there. It is worth asking about gate hours and security before you book, since the two sides of the property run on different schedules.

What renters mention
“The Customer service representative, FILIPP, at the particular location on Pell Circle, was very charming and accommodating! He made my move in so pleasant!” – KOFI W., 4 months ago, on Google
“Darlene is awesome and always goes above and beyond to help me out. I’ve used a couple of other Public Storage facilities in the area, and unfortunately, my units were broken into multiple times.” – Ankur P., a month ago, on Google
“It was very easy to rent online. The only problem is their website says gates are open until 7 and that is only for the rv storage. Regular storage units are different. I wish the hours were longer to get into storage.” – Stephanie G., 2 months ago, on Google
