About Relaxed Retreat at Carolina King
Relaxed Retreat at Carolina King sits on the banks of Lake Marion in Summerton. It changed hands on August 1, 2024, and the new owners say they are improving things daily, especially service. The property was formerly Carolina King Retreat and Marina. RV owners will find full hookup sites here alongside cabins rented nightly and monthly, boat slips, a boat ramp and storage. There is also a marina store for bait, tackle, snacks, ice and cold drinks. Reviewers talk a lot about fishing and the lake, plus the friendly staff, clean cabins and the boat ramp. Several repeat guests mention the new owners and ask people to read reviews from after the change. One reviewer stayed three months in a cabin and called it clean and cozy. Another noted the grounds were well kept and the cabin was a short walk from the water and docks. It is women-owned and LGBTQ+ friendly.
