What's available in Delmar
Three facilities in Delmar handle RV storage, and the mix covers basic outdoor spots up to fully indoor bays. Storage Wise of Delmar and Delmarva Storage Solutions each hold 4.8 stars, with Delmarva offering covered spaces and climate control. Partners Self Storage runs indoor storage but sits at 3.7 stars, so read recent reviews before committing. If you need 24-hour gate access, Storage Wise is the one. Otherwise, expect standard gate hours and confirm them before you book, since not every lot lets you in at midnight.
Covered or indoor: which to pick
Covered storage keeps the sun and most hail off your roof and awning, which matters on the Delmarva Peninsula where summer UV is strong. Indoor storage goes further, blocking wind-driven rain and keeping the rig cleaner between trips. One covered and one indoor option exist in town, so if you want either, decide early and call ahead. Outdoor spots are fine for a well-waxed rig, but expect to wash it more often and check the roof seals each spring. For long-term parking, indoor usually wins on wear.
Checking a facility before you sign
Ask about gate hours, camera coverage, and whether the lot is paved or gravel, since gravel can mean dust inside your rig. Confirm that your insurance covers the RV while it's stored and whether the facility requires proof of coverage. Walk the lot and look for standing water, low branches, and how tight the turns are for a big class A. Delmarva Storage Solutions has cameras and climate control, which helps in humid months. Partners Self Storage is gated but rated lower, so inspect before you commit.
