What's Available
Of the four places in town, only one offers covered parking, so if sun and hail damage worry you, call ahead and get on a waitlist. The rest are outdoor pads and lots, which is fine for most trailers and Class C rigs that already see weather. Ratings run high here, with Extra Space Storage pulling 4.8 across 382 reviews and CubeSmart at 4.7. Prime Storage sits at 4.4 over 290 reviews and does keep a 24 hour access gate, which matters if you load up after dark. Germak Electrical shows a 5.0 but from a single review, so treat that number lightly and ask what they actually store.
Picking a Spot
Outdoor storage is the cheap route and the common one, but it puts your roof and decals against Pennsylvania sun and whatever hail rolls through the valley. A cover or a covered bay pays for itself over enough seasons. Walk the lot before you sign. Look at the gravel, the drainage, and whether the gate hours match when you actually tow. Ask about cameras and who watches them. For anything you park through winter, pull the batteries or put them on a maintainer, and check that your insurance still covers the rig while it sits off your property.
Around Town
Middletown puts you near Harrisburg, the airport, and the river crossings, so a lot here works if you travel east or west along the turnpike. That convenience is also why spaces fill. The twelve nearby options give you room to shop if the four in town do not line up with your budget or your rig's size. Call two or three, compare what the gate and camera setup really looks like, and read the recent reviews rather than the old ones. Prices are not listed here, so ask directly and get the total in writing before you commit.
