About Signature Self Storage
Signature Self Storage sits at Y Ave. and West Lincoln Way in Ames, next to Westfield Apartments. RV and boat storage is available, and the grounds are lit and watched by cameras. Some units are climate controlled, and the drive-up ones are ground level so you can pull right up to the door. Reviewers tend to bring up the staff first. People describe them as straight shooters who work with you, and one reviewer said a manager cut a mistaken lock off a new unit on a Saturday afternoon. Others mention switching to a bigger unit on the spot and getting out of a lease early without a fight. The place holds a 4.2 across about 100 Google reviews. Not every review is a good one. A handful mention mold, so ask about it before you sign, especially on a climate-controlled unit. Access runs 7 days a week, and people have reserved on short notice and been happy with it. Carts are on site for moving day.
