About Amherst Storage
Amherst Storage sits in Knoxville and offers parking for boats, campers, RVs, trailers and equipment alongside standard storage buildings. Units range from 5x10 up to 10x30. They are not heated or cooled, and there are no electric hookups. You can pull right up to your unit door. The property is behind a secured gate with cameras. Renters pay online through QuickBooks, and a non-refundable $25 cleaning fee applies. Visits are by appointment only, so call ahead. Reviews run mixed. Some renters call the owner a nice lady and say the prices beat most competitors. One long-time customer stores tools, a camper and a boat and feels it is one of the safest spots around. Others describe a clean, well-kept property but mention a tricky gate control and rude treatment from management. The 4.5 rating across 21 reviews reflects both sides.
