About GoldKey Marine

GoldKey Marine is an indoor storage and service operation in El Dorado Hills that has been around since 2006. It started as boat and RV storage and added services over the years. For Lake Tahoe owners it's pitched as a cheaper option than keeping a boat at the lake. No trailer is fine, since they offer transport. The shop side covers glass cleaning, safety inspections, battery service, boat cleaning, trailer work, and engine repair. Reviewers often mention the staff being friendly and easy to work with. One customer said a trailer fix had them back on the water the same day, and another credited the crew with making boat ownership simpler. It isn't all praise. Some reviews warn about the annual contract, and one owner says he kept paying after selling his boat. Another flagged a large rate increase, and a third reported a missed oil refill on VIP service. Weekends can get crowded at drop off, and they aren't open Sundays in summer. Worth reading the contract closely before signing.

“Service is top notch. They are responsive and nice. My only suggestions are: 1) It can be crowded on weekends, and it would be nice to have a larger drop off and pick up area.” – John S., 2 years ago, on Google
“Have been storing my boat at Gold Key for several years now. They have been responsive and consistent and always great to work with.” – Stephen C., Edited 2 years ago, on Google
“Mike is awesome! He is always very helpful. I had an issue with my trailer at the beginning of this season. He was able to get it fixed and had us in the water the same day.” – Andrew W., Edited a year ago, on Google
